ACT I: Scene v: " My only love, sprung from my only hate!Too early seen unknown, and known to late!"-JulietThis quote means that Juliet's love is from the family of her enemy and it's to late because she already in love with Romeo. Also maybe if she would have known then she could have prevented falling in love with him. The significance of this quote to the character is by telling the position she is in with loving Romeo, because she is in love with him and there is nothing she can do about it and then she finds out that he is her family's enemy. It can be related to today if someone falls in love with someone their parents don't like but more than likely if that happens you won't hide it from your parents now days.

Act II: scene ii:
" But soft! What light through yonder window breaks?
It is the east and Juliet is the sun!..."
-Romeo
This quote means that Juliet is like the sun to him and makes his life worth living and bright. Also, Romeo is describing Juliet as beautiful. This quote is significant to Romeo because it describes how he feels about Juliet and it helps us know how he feels about her. In real life this compares to the same thing Romeo is referring to how he feels about Juliet and other people probably feel this way about their love.

ACT III: scene v:
" And trust me, love, in my eye so do you.
Dry sorrow drinks our blood. Adieu, adieu"
-Romeo
This quote means that Juliet needs to believe him because he knows that she will. Also, the second line means that the sorrow is killing him inside. This is significant to Romeo because he is trying to tell her he is sorry for killing Tybalt and if their was another choice he wouldn't have killed him. This can be useful in real life by telling someone that you are sorry and tell them how much their sorrow hurts you.

IV: scene ii:
" Nurse, will you go with me into my closet,
To help me sort such needful ornaments
As you think fit to furnish me tomorrow?"
-Juliet
This quote means Juliet is asking the nurse to help her pick out what the nurse thinks to be Juliet's wedding but is really her funeral. This is significant to Juliet because she is really picking out stuff to wear to her funeral. This is dramatic irony because the nurse doesn't know that Juliet is really going to to pick out the stuff for her funeral and not her wedding because Juliet is going to fake her death.

 ACT V: scene iii:
"... Is crimson in thy lip and in thy cheeks,
And death's pale flag is not advanced there..."
-Romeo
This quote means that Juliet look alive and has color in her face. Also means death did no damage to her beauty and she looks just as beautiful as when she was alive. This is dramatic irony because the audience knows that the potion is wearing off and Romeo thinks that Juliet is dead.
